Artist Call

The Community Artists’ Collective is looking for artists to be included in upcoming exhibitions for the 2021 - 2022 exhibition seasons.

We’re looking for printmakers, painters and photographers.

May 1—Photography, Painters (Motherhood), Deadline to submit, April 23
June 1—Any Medium (Music-Related visual art), Deadline to submit, May 28
July 1—Printmaking (Culture), Deadline to submit, June 25

(If an artist would like to replace the old file, please send a new complete file.)

NOTE: This is a 3 Step Process

STEP 2: SUBMIT YOUR WORK SAMPLES TO exhibit@thecollective.org.

Once you have completed the Artist Call Form, email your work samples & resume/ C.V. to exhibit@thecollective.org. Detailed Instructions for your email:

1. Subject Line: Artist Call 2021 - 2022
2.Attach your Resume / C.V.
3. Attach/ include your biography (1-2 paragraphs, no longer than one page)
4. Attach 5-10 work samples.

Acceptable file types are jpg, gif, or standard video file. (if available via links, create a document within your folder with links and descriptions).
Include ARTWORK DETAILS within your email that includes:

- Numbered List of Artwork Submitted - Name of Artwork/ File that matches artwork - Dates of work completion for each sample submitted - Size (in, cm, etc) details - Medium for each sample submitted (materials artwork is made from) - Two sentence description of each submitted sample (optional)

Please Note: Each image should be no larger than 1200 pixels by 1200 pixels in size. Video should be submitted as a link to the video online or physically mailed as MPG or Quicktime files on CD or a playable DVD to the address specified below: Community Artists’ Collective 4101 San Jacinto, Suite 116 Houston, Texas 77004 If you have questions, or need help completing any portion of the ARTISTS CALL, feel free to call (713)523-1616 to speak to Deniz or Khaili.

STEP 3: ONCE YOU HAVE BEEN SELECTED TO EXHIBIT WITH THE COLLECTIVE, please print out the ARTIST REGISTRATION FORM , complete it, and bring with you to the Community Artists' Collective.

Open until 8pm on Thursdays during exhibitions
